Orchids

I shop for orchids every couple of months at the Flower Market or one of the nearby stores. I go to one particular vendor that usually has what I want – 15 white, single stem with some buds. While waiting for them to pack up my order, I often browse the shop for other interesting orchids and once, accidentally, I bumped into an extraordinary blue orchid – which promptly broke in half . It was my fault and agreed to pay for it.  There are so many to choose from the infinite variety of colors and shapes. I put together some of my favorites in this painting from those that that were available.
