Hiking is one of my favorite things to do. I’ve been to most of the trails in LA County and my favorite is still Griffith Park. It seems endless. On this particular day, there was a storm approaching. I knew it would have much affect on my hike since I had done this a hundred times. On my way back to where I left the car, I noticed the dark cloud settling in from the northeast. I took some pics and decided that the photo showed an unusual contrast between the Observatory and DTLA. It was fleeting so I decided to make it somewhat of an impression of the scene. This acrylic on panel is still one of my favorites.
